Here are some Tex-Mex SPEcialties:
Salsa - fresh sauce typically made with tomatoes, onion,
pepper - served as a condiment
Guacamole - a great condiment made from mashed
avacado and spices
Chorizo - spicy pork sausage
Jalapeño - a medium sized chili pepper
Quesadilla - a delicious dish consisting of meat and/or cheese
layered between two tortilla breads
Nachos - tortilla chips topped with cheese sauce
and meat, beans, peppers, etc.
Tortilla - very flat and round bread made with wheat or corn flour
Fajita - marinated and grilled chicken or beef, usually served
on a sizzling skillet with taco and condiments on the side
Taco- a sandwich made with a tortilla, folded and filled
with chicken, beef, shrimp, fish, beans, etc.
